Welcome to The Aubrey Hotel
The Aubrey is an Australian/English owned and operated small friendly boutique hotel built originally as a family mansion in 1927. The hotel was lovingly and painstakingly restored over 3 years and opened its doors in 2010 as Santiago’s first true boutique hotel. The Aubrey is conveniently situated in bohemian Bellavista, next to the Park Metropolitano and steps away from many gastronomic delights and cultural hotspots.
The Aubrey is a transformed space with 15 beautifully appointed bedrooms, each with a unique character and most with balconies or private open-air outdoor patios and fully opening windows.
Bellavista stuns with its colourful streets, its fanciful architecture and the lushness of a colossal tree-clad hill, the Cerro San Cristóbal, as a natural backdrop. It was here that Pablo Neruda, Chile’s famous Noble-laureate poet, decided to build his home in the capital in the 1950s. On lazy, sunny days, this barrio feels like a village miles away from the roaring noise of la Alameda – even if it’s only a short walk away. The area’s numerous snazzy bars, restaurants and cafés attracts people from all walks of life.
The hotel offers many public areas to enjoy and the old Mission-style patio terraces provide for an outdoor oasis overlooked by the exotic landscaped gardens of the San Cerro Cristobal. Relax to the peaceful sound of the hotel’s cascading water arches and enjoy our outdoor heated swimming pool or unwind and enjoy the Piano Lounge in the hotel’s contemporary wing, which offers fine wines and specialty cocktails.
The Aubrey lets you spread your wings beyond the four walls of a hotel room, and enjoy the fresh, pleasant environment of lush greenery and vegetation of the San Cerro Cristóbal. It is truly a distinctive urban retreat that lets one escape from the buzz of the city.
What People are Saying
“I wish I could give this 10 stars… the place was an oasis in the middle of a busy little city area – which by the way was the perfect location! You could walk everywhere very easily from this hotel. The building and grounds were just beautiful. The rooms were perfect, the breakfasts were absolutely delicious, as well as the afternoon tea/wine/cookies and goodies. The little piano bar in the hotel was the perfect spot for a pre-dinner drink or an after dinner drink. The bartender, Manuel, was friendly and made the BEST Pisco Sours!! Just a perfect spot.”

“Best Hotel in Santiago”
“Located adjacent to the Patio Bellavista, this hotel was awesome! It had the touch of an upscale old time hotel, but it was well manicured and had the newest amenities. The Aubrey was very spacious, featuring a nice pool and the room was excellent. I was amazed over the amount of staff employed and how your every need was quickly provided for! I highly recommend staying at this hotel while visiting Santiago; you will definitely fall in love with this place!

“Terrific boutique hotel”
“There’s something very special about this place. A little oasis in the middle of Santiago. Terrific rooms, lovely staff, old world ambience, free parking! Wonderful piano bar. We will always stay here going forward. Nothing was too much for the staff and we were lucky enough to meet Mark, the owner, on our last day. He’s done an extraordinary job.”
